The Learning Nook with Ms. DeGidio is a personalized K–5 tutoring service dedicated to helping students build strong academic foundations while growing into confident, independent learners. Led by a certified elementary teacher, current fifth-grade educator, and Action Research Assistant at Cleveland State University, every session is thoughtfully designed using evidence-based instructional practices and tailored to each child's unique needs. At The Learning Nook, learning is more than improving grades—it's about creating a supportive environment where children feel encouraged, capable, and excited to learn.
Why I Choose to tutor
As a classroom teacher, I've seen firsthand how much a child's confidence influences their success. Sometimes, all it takes is a little extra time, individualized support, and someone who believes in them to help learning finally "click." I chose to tutor because it gives me the opportunity to work one-on-one with students, celebrate their unique strengths, and provide the personalized guidance that helps them grow into confident, independent learners. Watching a child realize, "I can do this," is one of the most rewarding parts of being an educator.
